Charity

Fast Track’s chosen charities are Big Change and Virgin Unite. Fast Track entrepreneurs have generously donated over £3m to Virgin Unite, mainly at our annual Fast Track 100 awards dinner charity auction, co-hosted by Sir Richard Branson. Fast Track alumni have also participated in a series of endurance events, including the annual Virgin STRIVE Challenge to raise funds for Big Change.

Virgin Unite is the entrepreneurial foundation of the Virgin Group and the Branson family. They unite people and entrepreneurial ideas to create opportunities for a better world.
In everything they do, they are uniting a global community that shares their belief that entrepreneurial ideas, together with the right people, can create positive change around the world. Virgin Unite’s overheads are covered by Sir Richard Branson and the Virgin Group, meaning that 100% of all donations received go directly to the frontline. virginunite.com

Big Change was founded in 2010 by six friends including Holly and Sam Branson, and their cousin Noah, to think differently about how charity can be a catalyst for positive change. Big Change finds and partners with pioneering projects that are addressing clear gaps in how we are setting young people up to thrive in life, not just exams.

Since 2014 STRIVE has been supporting the Big Change mission by assembling groups to challenge themselves, fundraise for Big Change and have the experience of a lifetime. Past events include a three day hike over the Highlands of Scotland and mountain biking in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

In 2018 the Virgin STRIVE Challenge was to travel from Sardinia to the summit of Mont Blanc under human power. Three Fast Track 100 entrepreneurs joined Richard Branson on the core team for the entire 30 day challenge, with another 22 Fast Track entrepreneurs joining them for one of the five stages.
