KLM, Hawaiian Airlines and Royal Air Maroc use this Crawley firm’s seats on their planes. It was founded in 2008 by three industry veterans — including managing director Chris Brady, 47 — and its overseas sales have taken off thanks to increased demand from budget airlines that need to balance the requirements of comfortable but compact seating. International sales grew to £14.4m last year, and Acro now plans to expand into Asia as the number of budget airlines operating in the region grows.
