‘Social entertainment’ is the name that chief executive Adam Breeden, 40, has coined for the offering at Bounce’s two London venues. Up to 20 guests at a time can hire one of the 17 ping pong tables, with seating to allow the consumption of food and drink. Breeden, who co-founded Bounce with former county-level ping pong player Dov Penzik, 41, previously set up cocktail bar The Lonsdale, and bowling-themed restaurant and bar, All-Star Lanes and has recently set up a darts-themed venue, Flight Club. Backed by high-profile investors such as Zoopla founder Alex Chesterman, Bounce’s sales hit £6.5m in 2015 and are forecast to reach £13.7m next year, boosted by opening a venue in Chicago in May.
