Established in 2006 by the Brunei Investment Agency, it is run by chief executive Christopher Cowdray, 62. Profits increased to £24.3m in 2015, driven by currency fluctuations. In April, the group’s most recent addition, Hotel Eden in Rome, reopened after renovations.
