Nuneaton-based GRS distributes aggregates to construction firms, builders’ merchants and retailers. It also provides waste management, logistics and handling services. Geographical expansion and the acquisition of packed aggregate supplier Aggbag helped sales rise 38% to £173.6m in 2016. In the first two months of this year, chief executive Jon Fisher, 39, led the acquisition of Cornish company Maen Karne, and two aggregate bagging plants in Staffordshire and Devon.
