In 2008, the television chef and restaurateur Jamie Oliver, 38, brought his love of Italian food to the high street. The London-based restaurant chain now has more than 30 sites in Britain and six abroad, including eateries in Dublin, Dubai and Sydney. It bills itself as affordable and family-friendly, making its own pasta every morning and sourcing ingredients locally and from Italy. Seven new restaurants in 2012 helped increase profits to £9m.
