Although Ligentia was founded in 1996 by chief executive Nick Jones, 51, two of the companies it has acquired pre-date the Second World War. The Leeds-based group manages supply chains for retailers, manufacturers and miners. It has offices in Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa, as well as teams in 60 cities worldwide. Ligentia established a presence in Madagascar in 2015 and South Africa the following year, helping international sales hit £24.9m in 2016.
