An increase in people holidaying at home combined with a shortage of affordable housing have led to a rise in demand for Omar’s park homes and lodges. This prompted it to open a new factory in Hull in 2015, followed last year by a £1.1m extension to its Suffolk headquarters. A number of new product launches helped raise annualised profits to £3.9m in 2016. The company is led by chief executive Dean Westmoreland, 53, alongside chairman Paul Pleszko, 59, son of the founder.
