Its specialist composites are used to protect buildings and containers in harsh environments, and include coatings to contain nuclear waste and structures that can withstand extreme weather conditions. The company has benefited from a buoyant construction industry, with exports hitting £3.2m in 2015. It is now run by David Jenkins, 52, the founder’s son.
