More red-and-white aircraft, new routes and growing passenger numbers boosted sales at Edinburgh budget airline Flyglobespan to £208m in 2006. Last year the operator flew more than 1.8m people from airports on both sides of the border to destinations including Orlando, Vancouver and New York. The company’s 13-strong fleet will increase to 21 by the end of the year. Owner Tom Dalrymple, who spun the airline out of a Scottish tour operator in 2003, has not ruled out a future flotation.
