The 2012 awards dinner was held on 13 March at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in London. The keynote speaker was Allan Leighton, plural non-exec chairman of many public and private equity-backed companies. After dinner, The Sunday Times business editor, Dominic O'Connell, hosted an insightful interview session with the executive chairman, Stefano Pessina, of the UK's biggest private company backed by KKR, Alliance Boots, and chief executive of mid-market Bridgepoint-backed HobbyCraft, Catriona Marshall. Each company and their backers received a framed certificate at the dinner.
