Co-Founder Peter Williams partly attributes the growth of his fashion retail business to an appetite for Britishness. Selling casual, preppy clothes to 18 to 21-year-olds through the Jack Wills brand, and to a more mature market with Aubin & Wills, the London firm has 73 stores, concessions and outlets in towns across Britain and in the northeast of America. In 2007 Inflexion bought a 27% stake for an undisclosed sum, and sales grew 61% a year, from 22m in 2008 to 92.2m in 2011, with some of the biggest profits on the league table and healthy margins.
