Founder Robert Braithwaite led a £44m buyout in 2006, backed by Bank of Scotland Corporate, allowing Sunseeker to invest in a new shipyard for larger boats. Profits sailed ahead 62% a year from £7.8m in 2005 to an annualised £20.5m in 2007.
