2012 Tech Track 100
Rank: 57 ANS Group
Says it is the first Cisco partner in EMEA to achieve cloud builder status
The government’s austerity agenda is good news for Manchester-based IT services provider ANS Group. Budget cuts mean more public sector bodies want to outsource IT to companies including ANS as it is cheaper than running the equivalent services in-house. Founded in 1996 by chairman Scott Fletcher, the company has customers in both the private and public sectors, including 150 NHS Trusts. Growing demand has helped ANS increase sales 57% a year, from £12.1m in 2009 to £46.8m in 2012, and the company is now targeting further growth by expanding its cloud-computing services.
