Recently, Mimecast has also rolled out its services for mobile platforms. Founded in 2003 by Peter Bauer and Neil Murray, the company received £13m private equity backing from Dawn Capital and Index Ventures in 2009. Sales grew 66% a year from £6.8m in 2009 to £31m in 2012, and in July it won Microsoft's Partner of the Year award for its cloud-based services.
