Opened a New York office in March 2012

American Express, ITV and Yahoo are among the firms paying Asperity Employee Benefits to run benefit schemes for staff. These schemes let employees select rewards, including retail discounts, using an online portal. Founded in 2006 by managing director Glenn Elliott, Asperity operates in the UK, Australia and the US, where it opened in New York in March. It raised £25.5m in 2010 from private equity firm Inflexion, which holds a 60% stake. Sales, which include the value of all benefits, rose 145% a year from £8m in 2009 to £118.7m in 2011.
