From offices in London, New York and Boston, Fixnetix offers financial trading services to investment banks and hedge funds. The company says clients find it cheaper and faster to use its services than install their own trading systems. Chairman and chief executive Hugh Hughes co-founded Fixnetix in 2006 after a long career in investment banking, and secured funding from private equity firm Delta Partners in return for a 27% stake. Sales grew 72% a year, from £5.5m in 2009 to £28.1m in 2012, based on overseas expansion and organic growth.
