Hospitality software developer eviivo provides a platform for the owners of 5,300 small independent hotels and bed-and-breakfasts to help them manage bookings. The company also connects them to over 230 travel websites and agencies to advertise available rooms. Founded in 2004, the company plans to expand into continental Europe and eventually Asia, thanks in part to Investcorp, who recently acquired majority ownership and provided £2.3m of additional expansion capital. Sales grew 66% a year, from £1.7m in 2008 to £7.7m in 2011, as its customers realise the importance of reaching customers online.
