Plans to invest £2.5m upgrading its network following the London Olympics
Managing director Piers Daniell founded this high-speed internet service provider in 2004. Initially he funded it with his credit card, and two years later bought his own network with a £150,000 investment from a business angel. There are now 50 ISPs connected to this network, which is undergoing a £2.5m upgrade, and the London company is helping ISPs to roll out broadband in hard-to-reach rural areas. Other customers include Sony and the NHS, and sales grew 48% a year from £2.2m in 2009 to £7.2m in 2012.
