Its systems can help businesses reduce energy costs by 30%

Energy management systems designed by this Stockport firm can, it says, help customers cut 30% off their energy costs. WEMS International installs wireless devices in buildings so customers including BT, Boots and Matalan can monitor and regulate energy use. It makes its system hardware in the UK to enable speedy UK installations, and has also started selling in China, South Africa, France and the US. Under chairman Steve Dillon, sales grew 54% a year, from £3.3m in 2008 to £11.9m in 2011. In September 2012 Maven Capital Partners sold their minority stake as part of a £13m capital financing round, and the company is now owned by a consortium of investors led by WHEB Partners.
