Spun out of Cambridge University in 2002, the company sells its products under the CANTAB brand. Sales have grown due to increasing demand in Europe and the US, where most of its clients are based, although the tests are conducted globally. Sales grew 40% a year, from £2.1m in 2008 to £5.9m in 2011, and the company is backed by Pall Mall Partners and YFM Equity Partners.
