2009 Fast Track 100 league table supplement
The thirteenth annual Fast Track 100 league table
supplement was published in The Sunday Times on 6 December
2009, with title sponsor Virgin.
Despite the downturn, over the past three years companies increased sales on average 95% a year from £467m to £2.6bn, and forecast 30% growth this year, and have created 12,783 new jobs to now employ 17,421 people.
However, margins are down and only two have raised venture capital in the past year, against twelve last time. The league table features brands such as Cath Kidston, Silver Cross prams, Hotel Chocolat, and Go Ape.
The No 1 company is Cyclescheme, which administers the Cycle to Work programme, where sales have rocketed 348% a year to £23m.
