Fast Track is a research, business publishing and networking events company, based in Oxford. We have a successful 14-year track record ranking Britain's top-performing private companies in annual league tables with The Sunday Times, and running invitation-only events for their owners and directors to network and meet our sponsors.

The current team consists of 22 full-time staff and a network of freelance researchers and writers. Many have postgraduate degrees from Oxford University as well as accountancy and commercial research experience; others have worked for major national newspapers and events companies.

Fast Track is currently recruiting for the following positions:

B2B publisher/editor: £100k+

  • The role: Work closely with the entrepreneurial founder to help manage the company, including acquiring new blue-chip sponsors and preferably taking responsibility for editorial.
  • The person: A business developer with high-level events sponsorship sales and hosting skills, preferably with a background in research and editorial covering private companies.

Head/director of events: £50k / £85k+

Oversee annual programme of 40 invitation-only networking dinners for Britain’s top entrepreneurs.
  • Account manage and work directly with VIPs from our blue-chip sponsors to ensure we deliver value and exceed their expectations.
  • Help identify and secure speakers for our business events attended by owners of private companies.
  • Lead, manage and motivate the events team.
  • In the longer term, host some of our smaller bespoke dinners.

Business researchers: £125 - £150 per day

Research and interview top entrepreneurs and private companies
  • 3 month contract, with possibility to extend to full-time.
  • Identify, analyse, and interview the UK’s leading entrepreneurs and private companies.
  • Write profiles for publication in The Sunday Times for our flagship Fast Track 100 league table of the UK’s fastest-growing private companies.
  • Attend our invitation-only national conference and awards dinner at Richard Branson’s.
Applicants will ideally have some business-related education and skills, and some experience researching company accounts and conducting telephone interviews.
