The software developer 1E, named after a Microsoft systems error, has tripled its customer base since 2003 thanks to the growing popularity of two core products. SMS Nomad Branch helps businesses cut their number of servers, while Nightwatch- man turns off unattended computers, saving electricity. Headed by chief executive Sumir Karayi, the London firm has raised its sales 49% a year from £2.6m in 2003 to £5.8m in 2005.
