The business of 2e2 is to provide customers with IT consultancy services. Recent projects include the installation of a new voice and network infrastructure for TalkTalk. Based in Newbury, Berkshire, the group has been highly aquisitive, buying 16 companies since its inception in 2002, the latest being this year’s £70m acquisition of the listed IT company Morse. Founders Terry Burt and Mark McVeigh led the business through a £130m secondary buyout from Gresham backed by Duke Street Capital in 2006. Sales declined to £200.1m in 2009, but operating profits remained at £15.7m.
