This Great Yarmouth-based business supplies control panels for offshore oil and gas platforms, and it also installs and maintains wind turbines. It says it is one of the largest supplier of offshore technicians in the world. Sales reached £20.9m this year and 3sun has ambitions to grow to £60m within three years. The company has embarked on a series of acquisitions including Dawson Energy in 2010, and, more recently, a training division to complement its existing apprenticeship scheme. Business Growth Fund invested £10m in March 2014, taking a 40% stake, and chief executive Graham Hacon, 47, intends to invest the capital in further acquisitions.
