China’s fast-growing mobile communications market is being tapped by Actix, whose software helps to prevent the loss of signal to mobile phones. Last year the London company, founded by Rob Dobson, secured China Mobile as a customer. Actix is also expanding in America, Japan and India after raising £40m last year from the venture-capital firm Summit Partners. The company’s sales have risen 46% a year from £12.2m in 2003 to £26m in 2005, of which 90% comes from overseas clients such as Verizon.
