The company claims its software handles up to 9m out-of-hours patient calls a year. The company was founded in 1994 by Lynn Woods and James Berry. Its sales have grown almost 91% a year from £551,000 in 1999 to £3.8m in 2002. In 2002 Adastra acquired its competitor Owl Software for £500,000.
