Addison Lee started with one car in 1975 and now has a fleet of almost 5,000 vehicles. In April 2013, the Carlyle Group bought the London firm for a reported £300m. The group was founded by John Griffin, 72, who stepped down as chairman in July, and it is led by his son Liam, 41, who is chief executive.
