Addison Lee cars joined New York’s iconic yellow cabs in March as the company launched its first service outside of London, where it transports more than 10m passengers each year. Founded in 1975, the company is led by chief executive Liam Griffin, 42, the son of the founder. The Griffin family sold the company to private equity firm Carlyle for a reported £348m in 2013. Organic growth helped sales rise 33% to £235m in 2014.
