This Glasgow company provides IT infrastructure and support services to more than 500 small and medium-sized companies and public-sector organisations across Britain. Adventi was founded in 2002 by strategy director Graham Bucknall with £250,000 of personal funds and £100,000 provided by the Scottish Enterprise Business Growth Fund in 2003. Archangel Informal Investments invested a further £1.2m in 2005. The company has pursued an ambitious acquisition strategy including the £3.5m purchase of Apple supplier ScotSys in 2005. Such acquisitions have spurred growth of 125% a year at Adventi, with revenues rising from £1.5m in 2004 to £16.7m in 2007.
