This Kent family firm supplies fresh fruit to its customers, such as Sainsbury’s, through brands that include Chingford Fruit, CPM and Grapes Direct. It also owned logistics firm Solstor that it demerged in March. Its new Spanish subsidiary, Soloberry, and the growth of new varieties of soft fruit helped drive group international sales — mostly to Europe — to £20.3m in 2014. The business was founded in 1970 and is run by chairman Leon Aichen, 75.
