Air Energi

Shell, Exxon Mobil and Total are among those that turn to Air Energi to provide them with engineering and technical consultants for international energy projects. The Manchester firm was subject to a £30m buyout in 2009, backed by Palatine Private Equity and, following a series of acquisitions, it is again considering its ownership. Under executive chairman Ian Langley and chief executive Duncan Gregson, sales increased by 37% in 2011.
