Adam Kenwright founded his West End show promotion company, AKA Promotions, in 1995 at the age of 24, and was joined by Eric Standidge and Kate Hart in 1997. Located on bustling Shaftesbury Avenue, the company has promoted shows like Art, Shockheaded Peter and Taboo. AKA does everything from designing posters and theatre signs to running media advertising campaigns and creating on-street promotions. Its sales have grown 154% a year from an annualised £269,000 in 1998 to £4.4m in 2001, when it employed 18 people.
