Lanarkshire-based Albert Bartlett says it supplies 20% of Britain’s fresh potatoes, sourced from more than 100 farms in the UK and Jersey. Overseen by chairman Ronnie Bartlett, 54, it sells potato varieties including Purple Majesty, Vivaldi and Rooster and commenced processing frozen potato products in 2015. In September, it opened a £17m factory at its headquarters to create pre-prepared chilled potato dishes.
