Lanarkshire-based Albert Bartlett says it is Britain’s leading supplier of fresh potatoes, sourced from farms in the UK and Jersey. Overseen by chairman Ronnie Bartlett, 56, it adopted additional safety measures for staff working through lockdown. Last November, the business took a minority stake in children’s frozen food brand Kiddyum for an undisclosed sum. Sales reached £175.7m in 2019, boosted by the opening of an £18m factory at its headquarters the previous year to create preprepared chilled potato dishes
