When Shell’s aviation division wanted to simplify its billing system it turned to Allserve Systems. The Ascot company says it designed a system so that Shell’s customers received only one bill regardless of where in the world they had bought fuel. Founded in 1993 as a software developer, it now designs call-centre technology and database cleaning services, as well as working on bespoke projects. Sales have grown by more than 107% a year from an annualised £6.1m in 1999 to £54.1m in 2002, partly through the acquisition of the American company Total Services.
