Tech Track 100

Homeworkers may have Alwayson to thank for their flexibility. The group develops systems to support and manage virtual private networks and company intranets, which give off-site staff access to office networks. Founder George Zaremba set up Alwayson in 2000 and two years later merged it with a company he had led since 1990 to form Alwayson Group. The Reading company targets the banking, construction and retail sectors and also provides telecoms services. All this helped to push up sales 101% a year from £763,000 in 2003 to an annualised £3.1m in 2005, when Foresight Ventures invested £1.5m for a 25% stake.

This profile reflects the company at time of publication and does not reflect any changes that may have subsequently occurred. Fast Track and its sponsors do not endorse, guarantee or recommend investment in any of the companies.
