This Essex firm builds, maintains and renews social housing, schools and other public buildings. The company, which started out in 1976 working for the public sector in London and southeast England, has announced plans to merge with rival Keepmoat next month, creating a £1 billion-turnover business. Recent wins include two contracts to improve social housing in Wales worth £22m and a £100m deal with London’s Southwark council. Led by chief executive Dave Sheridan, sales reached £367.2m in 2011.
