The Apricot clothing brand was established six years ago by Philip Chaimo and Sophia Ciampa. The company, known for its signature prints, has 12 standalone stores, as well as more than 350 concessions at retailers such as Debenhams. Apricot started its export drive two years ago, initially focusing on Germany. Success there has helped it expand into Italy and Austria, boosting overseas sales to £3.6m this year.
