The owner of Topshop, Burton and Dorothy Perkins closed all 550 stores across its fashion empire in March and furloughed 14,500 of its 16,000 employees. That followed an ongoing turbulent time for the group, whose founder, Sir Philip Green, 68, secured a company voluntary arrangement with creditors last summer to allow it to continue trading. Last week, it announced plans to cut 500 of its 2,500 London head office staff. Led by chief executive Ian Grabiner, 61, Arcadia also operates the Evans, Miss Selfridge and Wallis brands.
