This company says it is Europe’s biggest privately owned car dealer, selling more than 200,000 vehicles a year. Chairman and chief executive Sir Arnold Clark, 85, started the Glasgow firm in the 1950s after he refurbished a Morris car and sold it for a profit. It now has 200 outlets that sell new cars from manufacturers such as Kia and BMW as well as used vehicles. It also offers repairs, servicing, vehicle rental and insurance.
