Arqiva spent five years and £600m delivering the UK’s digital switchover, which it says was the country’s largest ever broadcast engineering project. It was completed in Northern Ireland last October. Last year the company acquired Spectrum Interactive, the wi-fi hotspot provider, and invested £6m to strengthen the UK’s digital radio network. Arqiva’s customers include the BBC, ITV and BSkyB. Led by chief executive John Cresswell, 52, the company increased its sales to £832m in 2012.
