Software developer Arrk is helping clients such as the RAC to make the most of this trend by improving and supporting their e-business portals. Founder Julian Howison ran the business from his home for three years, before securing £25,000 from an angel investor to open an office in Manchester. Working closely with its Mumbai subsidiary to offer global integration services has helped to boost sales 185% a year from £761,000 in 2004 to £6.2m in 2006.
