Launched in 1992 by three engineers tired of fitting awkward air-conditioning equipment, this East Sussex firm makes easy-to-install condensate removal pumps. It has operations in France, Germany, America, India and Australia. In 2019, it sold more than one million pumps and grew profits to £16.8 million. That year also saw private equity firm Inflexion reacquire the business from 3i for an undisclosed sum. Led by chief executive Adrian Thompson, 53, it bought Australian firm Sky Refrigeration in March last year — its seventh acquisition since 2015.
