Demand for Aston Martin’s DB11, Vantage and Vanquish S sports cars in America, the UK and China drove sales up 48% last year to £876m. Under president and chief executive Andy Palmer, 55, the Warwickshire business sold 5,117 cars in 2017. In February, it completed the first phase of its new manufacturing facility in south Wales, and in March, it revived the Lagonda marque as an electric-only brand. The company’s investors are reportedly exploring a £4bn stock market listing.
