Aurora Fashions

Aurora Fashions owns several retail brands such as Coast, Karen Millen, Oasis and Warehouse, and has 1,471 stores in 45 countries. The business was set up to acquire the brands from Mosaic Fashions when the latter went into administration in 2009, and is majority owned by Kaupthing. The former senior management team of Mosaic also owns a stake. Despite the recession, the business continues to expand internationally, with 150 stores opening overseas in the past year. Led by executive chairman Derek Lovelock and chief executive Mike Shearwood, the group reported annualised sales of £550m in 2010.
