Avellino says it saves its clients money by improving the accuracy of the information they keep on customers. This year the Ministry of Defence saved £20m and Abbey National £15m. The company’s flagship software, Avellino Discovery, checks for missing or incorrect data. In the last year Avellino has opened offices in Texas and Pennsylvania. Its sales have grown 96% a year from £1.5m in 2000 to £5.6m in 2002.
