Azzurri has continued its relentless path of growth through acquisition, buying two new companies in the past year, one specialising in mobile telecoms services, the other in educational software for schools. Headed by Martin St Quinton, the Newbury-based group of companies sells communications equipment and manages networks for large companies such as the Royal Mail and B&Q, for which it designed a voice-over-internet system. Azzurri has received investment from 3i and Bank of Scotland, and the company has boosted its sales 38% a year from £32.3m in 2002 to £61.1m in 2004.
