Describing itself as a “fame factory”, this advertising agency has expanded around the world, with offices in London, New York, Sao Paulo, Singapore and Tokyo. Bartle Bogle Hegarty was set up in 1982 and is run by the founding partners Nigel Bogle, John Hegarty and Simon Sherwood. Its clients include Audi, Levi Strauss, Johnnie Walker, Unilever, KFC and Woolworths. They helped to boost billings by about £100m to £553m in 2002, when the agency had 510 staff worldwide. It is still expanding. Last year, the company launched Leap, a music publishing business, and acquired a minority stake in Neogama, an up-and-coming Brazilian advertising agency.
